End of an era

I am starting this blog as a diary of what could be the end of an era.
I hope I am wrong. But, things are not looking good for the people who
live near the water or for those who love the water or seafood for that matter.

We went to an out of town wedding this past weekend. All the while worried about
the Gulf of Mexico and what was going to happen to life on the Gulf coast.

This morning when I walked out on the deck to enjoy the site I looked to my right
and they had began laying that yellow strip around the island in the hope of keeping the oil away from us. It was enough to make you cry. I walked out on the pier and saw about a dozen small stingrays just at the coast line. They line up there in the summer like jets at Hartsfield. I thought you poor things........you will be washed up dead next news I know. What will happen to all those creatures.

The oil is not suppose to hit us before Thursday, 5/6/10. Will keep you posted.
